Dr. Larry loves his work. It is his priority to learn as much as he can. He has continued to study dentistry all his life, taking classes every year to sharpen his skills. Dr. Larry is able to offer a wide array of services to his patients. Please review the following menu of services. If you don’t see what you want here, just ask. Dr. Larry can probably help.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini Dental Implants are small diameter threaded titanium alloy posts, ranging from 1.8 to 2.9 mm in diameter. MDI’s can be used to stabilize dentures or to provide an artificial root for a crown when a patient has lost a tooth. They involve a fast, in-office, affordable solution and can literally allow a patient to enjoy a meal within hours of the appointment. Dr. Larry says MDI’s are a solution to LOTS of different problems. If you have a missing tooth, or are missing all your teeth, MDI’s can help.

Denture Stabilization

Denture Stabilization is the process of making loose dentures tight and secure again. The process can be accomplished in about 90 minutes, and involves a minor procedure with a little numbing. It includes inserting miniature dental implants, (MDI’s) into the jaw. These little titanium screws have an o-ball head which looks a lot like a trailer hitch. Some small receivers are placed inside the denture, which make for a snap fit. Then the denture is relined. The patient can quickly learn how to place and remove the denture, AND, be out in time for lunch. Eating can be a joy again. Remember that apple?...that steak?...nuts, salad, and LOTs of other foods that became difficult to eat when you lost your natural teeth? Denture stabilization can remind you just how good life can be.

Fillings (the color of teeth)

Dr. Larry firmly believes that teeth should look like teeth. Silver or black fillings don’t make teeth attractive, or your smile beautiful. Tooth-colored fillings look like teeth, allow x-rays to “see” through them, and can be easily repaired or re-sealed as they age. This can prevent the need for the entire filling to need to be removed at some later date if a minor fracture or chip occurs. Dr. Larry places tooth-colored fillings in 99% of the cases requiring fillings.

Root Canals

Root Canals are the one procedure that can save a tooth if it ever becomes abscessed. Unfortunately it happens. Comedians everywhere make fun of dentists and root canals, but when done properly, this procedure can be painless and quick. It can actually STOP A TOOTHACHE. The important thing is to get the tooth comfortable BEFORE the appointment. Sometimes antibiotics are necessary to reduce an infection before the root canal is started. Little tiny files are used to scrub the inside of the canals that contain the pulp of the tooth. It is just a little more involved filling, so don’t sweat it. If you need one, it is WAY better than losing a tooth. If a tooth hurts more than 10 seconds for any reason, the pulp is probably inflamed, so it is best to see Dr. Larry before the tooth becomes miserable.
